I have to admit, ever since seeing the movie JAWS I have felt uncomfortable to say the least, in water. I’m always wondering “what’s down there I can’t see?”
One of the most popular events in TV each year is Shark Week on the Discovery Chanel. For some reason it’s become a big deal and one of the highest rated series each year! One of the shows featured what researchers say, is the largest Great White Shark ever captured on film. They call it Deep Blue and this Great White measures over 20 feet long…think of how long that is!!! Hoyos Padilla captured the incredible footage near Guadalupe Island, off the west coast of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula about 3 years ago and the sheer size of the shark becomes quite amazing when it swims next to the shark cage.
Scientists estimate Deep Blue is around 50 years old (the lifespan of a Great White can be 70 years) and despite how ferocious they are to humans, Orca Whales would think nothing of taking this Great White down. I get the heebie jeebies just watching this video.
