We have become so used to such high tech happenings in our world we often forget some pretty cool stuff that’s going on outside our world…like right now did you know there are and have been people living in outer space? They are up there right now circling the Earth and have been for quite some time. Rockets are going up everyday.
We have probes that have long since left the solar system, we are getting pictures sent back to earth hourly from spacecraft orbiting other planets, we have machines on the surface of Mars right now and more are on the way including a drone…and there is a probe being sent to the sun right now, that will give us the closest look, at what keeps us alive, than ever before. It will gain all sorts of data and be closer than anything has ever been…roughly 2.7 million miles which in space terms is just around the corner.
The little probe will be travelling at nearly ½ million miles per hour and is designed with a special shield that can withstand the massive radiation and temperatures over 2500F
Another neat thing is that Scientists have been able to use a method far beyond my understanding to record what our sun sounds like. I just imagined the sound of a crackling fire like in a fireplace, but it’s actually quite a soothing hum. Heck record it, put it on a loop and use it to meditate! Meditate to the sound of the sun…mmmm maybe I have a new business venture!
